Jox, I'd rather relate closer to a "filthy pig" than many humans I come into contact with on a daily basis.
If it was not for the "treehuggers" you speak of in a negative fashion... you would not have what you have at the moment and we would all be living in a treeless world, with no access to fresh water... clean air, etc...
You really dont get it do you... you dont understand the implications?
The problem here is animal cruelty and the promotion of it... dont tell me you have totally missed the point??

All of Banky's messages are political... my concern is that he is now becoming a mainstream target and he is playing into the hands of this... If he was true to his cause he would have not sold out and kept himself totally unaccessable.
Where it stands now he is crossing into the "art" sector and allowing the wider community to jump on board.
I totally support protests and defacing billboards, and calling out corporation...
BUT not at the expense of another living creature... for me that is so wrong... I am sorry but that is how I see it.

ok..
i never understood the message with the animals really well anyway..
it's rather open for a far too wide range of interpretations.
but i like his approach to stencils/grafz, like this one:
http://www.banksy.co.uk/7stencil…
excellent piece of graphic..

as for the painting of the animals...The RSPCA okayed the animal usage , and he used 'animal friendly' paint...so there...
- Jade0
Shitman... I am just gonna get myself flamed bad here, but I wish you would think about the previous posts I have made before you post mindflayer...
You miss some of my other points...
Will the rspca be there to ok it for all the copycats and others who think its a cool idea to go a graf on animals?
But hey because the paint is animal friendly that makes it ok to go and deface them and put them on show in stressful conditions for hundreds of fame seeking whores to gook and laugh at?
I do believe that all sentient beings, are entitled the right not to be treated as the property of others who can do as they wish with.
...so there...

let's kidnap banksy, spray paint his ass and glue him to a pole in the middle of london
that would be art
- Jade0
Now that would be art... But only if he said ok... we need to get his permission firstly!!

having read the thread until here i have to say i the way of airing those beliefs around animalrights are still the same than 10 years ago. It hasn't gotten any better.
the pro's stick to these arguments, the contra's to those.it was interesting to have a read yes but i get bored by these quarrels veeeery quicly because i heard them one-too-many times.
i made up my mind cause its simplemeat = murder

eat meat = nature.

pigs are not humans.
i'm sure they're not tormented by the paint on their insensitive hide.
they're probably being treated better now because they're works of art instead of pork chops.
- scarabin0
i'm more upset by banksy whoring out his anti-corporate art to corporations now.
seriously. fuck the pig.
who cares.

What ever tickles you scabie...
