I think this is clearly a case of animal cruelty and the dude needs to be charged.
Dont care what else he does...
- ********0
it's just fucking paint on a pig!
well charge Greenpeace as well then for spraypaint marking the seals in order to protect them.

- Jade0
4cY aint you a bit edgie today, someone give you a wedgie...?
You missed the point... think about the bigger picture before you spout the clapper trap?
I feel it will have a copycat effect, which will lead to some idiots doing the samething and they will most likely leave the animal in huge amounts of pain because the screwed it up.
Lets go spray paint your pet, or spray paint fuck the pigs over your forehead eh?
If banksy has got a message to get accross why dont he stand in the open and do so, rather than using helpless animals to further his cause for stardom?
It actaully made me feel sick when I saw the photos... and those animals became distressed and had to be removed... I think we put them through enough without having to do this... once again human gain is of more importance...
If greenpeace are spraying seals in order to protect them I am sure they have some valuable grounds to stand on dont they... there is a bit of a difference aint there... how can you make such a silly statment??
- scarabin0
those pigs are going to be brutally slaughtered and cut to pieces and put in tacos and you're worried about whether it has fucking paint on its skin?
jesus christ.
- scarabin0
i swear people get all upset over things just because they think they can.
not because they either give a fuck or it makes sense.
- Jade0
It does not make sense to me, and I am voicing my opinion because I can and because I believe it is wrong...
I can't grasp your mindset... the animals are going to be "brutally slaughtered" you say... so that makes it ok for someone to torment them a little more before their deaths?
We eat them to satisfy our hunger, and we spray paint and abuse them further to satisfy our visual needs?
I just think it is plain wrong... and is a paints a horrid picture of the people living in our communities...
Use and abuse yourself but not a harmless animal that has no say in the matter...
Where is your head at?
- jox0
Jeez, and the animal would have something to say then, if we gave it a chance?
Animal = not a human being.
- jox0
As a side note, here's a little lesson

Would you let me spray paint your face, and put you on view for the art world and celebs to see and laugh at?
Would you let me poke you with a stun gun?
Would you let me herd you around cattle pens and prod and poke you a little more before i slaughtered you?
Would you let me do all of this for my own pleasure?
I would safely assume not...
The difference is you are able to verbalise your needs and wants.
Pay a visit to a slaughter house one day... Go visit a local animal lib group and ask if they can show you some of the ways we humans mistreat animals...
I used to rescue ducks during hunting season and I saw some stuff that would make your blood boil... the cruelty was just horrific.
What Banksy is doing is wrong because he has displayed very little insight into the impact that his new method of political satire is going to have on those who respect and look upto him...
Like I said someone is going to do a copy cat and balls things right up and cause an animal to suffer...
If you dont see anything in it then I pity you.
- jox0
The problem here isn't animal cruelty, even though it's a terrible thing. It's the treehuggers, like always.
Like I said, animals are not human beings. If you want to compare yourself to a filthy pig, fine - then pity YOU.

i honestly see some messages in some of Banksy's work, and others for me are a general visual protest..or just plain art.
some graffz designers, i am never allowed to name them anywhere, told me the core motivation of their so called 'vandalistic acts'..
one of them was as a protest/reaction to the visual ocean of ads/billboards and all that you get thrown to the face on a daily basis.
or rather; the corporate grafitti versus the individual expression.
it's not always about fame for the creator.
with tagging it usually is.
some pieces stand on their own, some carry an intrinsiq meaning and some don't, or are part of an overall visual campaign/strategy..
