either. do you prefer to use a mouse or tablet?

mousey. tho a wacom would be nice.
tablet pc's are a fad until they get it right i say.

I use nothing but. can you say "carpal tunnel syndrome"?

wacom for everything accept games

Wacom... for sketching cars mainly... although the sampling rate is too slow in Photoshop, which means jagged lines on quickly-drawn ellipses. Painter and Alias StudioPaint handle that better.

there are 5 in my department, I get to occasionally mess with one. Very sweet SONY. I'm jealous!

got a five-six year old wacom
it's irreplaceable

of course we'll look back and wonder how we could stand working with these tablets in a few years... once we are sketching directly on the screen, and able to roll it up and carry it, with Wi-Fi connections, and at around 300dpi of course...

i have a trackball mouse.. a blessing for using the apps and the interface, but a horror to draw with.
I used to borrow a din A3 Wacom.
Now I need to buy me one myself..
Is the smaller version ok?
Let's say din a4 or din A5?
any experiences?

I got a A3 at first, but switched down to A4. Mostly for the convenience. The A3 took up more space then I wanted.

I've had one for a couple of years and all it gets used for is a mouse matt.

do you use it all the time instead of the mouse? Anyone using the wireless bluetooth? I am using the Kensington and can hardly stand it. Doesn't react very well.

tablets are pressure sensitive in painter 8 photoshop illustrator etc etc....
if you do lots of illustration they are invaluable....I personally think I am faster in illustrator with one.

I bought mine about a year ago and can't seem to get used to it. It is the smaller one i believe it is 4x6. I just seem to make more mistakes and am constanly accidentally hitting buttons when i use it...should i practice more?? i just frustrated me....any similar experiences?

Wacom for everything, including netsurfing right now. Faster? Yes probably - more importantly - saved my wrist after a couple of months where I thought I had to skip computers for good.

I heard you can buy these tablets that help you draw like an insane genius.. but you can't buy them in the shops. Just ask Big Jim down the local boozer, he'll sort you out.
