I saw the Lollapalooza thing at Jones Beach, Long Island this summer. They were outstanding. When I remember it, I have to try to remember anyone else who played. I can't say enough about this band. Thank God for them. The new CD is great too.

saw them a few weeks ago at the gravity games. they are very tight. a well oiled machine. i watched them play 5 times between 1988 and 1991, and they were very raw back then.

I seen them live on the telly last week, I'm not a big fan but it was good.

i was lucky enough to meet perry farrell, and that guy is such a dickhead, his movie sucks. But dave Navarro is a gift, he's worth seeing, just ignore the scrawny punk singin.

In all seriousness I am wondering if their problem is the lack of H, or the lack of Eric Avery. Not that I want them to be addicts or anything.
Sorry, but I just don't like the new album that much. It's too tight... too bar rock... not "expansive" or organic enough. I think the production has something to do with it too, but alot of it is the songwriting.
Dave always had a wonderful sense of texture, melody and agression in his playing, but there doesn't seem much substance to his playing on the new album. Maybe because he's having to sorta take hold as a foundation since Eric's bass playing is gone.. i dunno.
Perry's lyrics don't seem as poetic either... then again I didn't really like them on Ritual either.
I'd still love to see them live though.

i hear what your saying...i think that the dynamics of jane's has changed a bit. i have always been a fan though... and i think strays is definitely a quality album...but, i am dying to see them live...i hear it is a sight to behold!

I think there's some recent show reviews in there. I went to the Cincinatti Lolla, and I'm going to the next two gigs in London. I was also at the forum gig last year and reading - they both fucking rocked.
