yep, true, so many greedy fuckers out there, I mean just let Bill and MS have their freaking zillions and work around them. That will suck so bad! Prompt in your face type shit, you can expect marketing to go along with that too! :(

still a chance they will prevail in appeals. ms still claims they haven't violated the patent to begin with.

i say why sit here and bitch about it. lets start writting them and letting them know how we feel. University of Cali right?? I think if every design community from across the world expresses thier view?? maybe something can be done? we won't know unless we try though?

well 99% of the internet is total shit already, I don't see how a lamed IE is any big deal. Maybe I am so used to working on well done sites and applications that I tend to ignore the trash ignorant "designers and developers" produce.
I think it is a good thing that the internet gets more shitted up, it will perhaps force users to focus on the sites that work. Or is that toally screwed logic?

the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office are re-examining the Eolas patent for a browser plug-in, wondering whether they were correct to grant a patent in the first place. “A substantial outcry from a widespread segment of the affected industry has essentially raised a question of patentability with respect to the .. patent claims,” Stephen Kunin, the USPTO's deputy commissioner for patent examination policy said.
