We know how influential it used to be.
I'm wondering if its still a great place to study design? I'm getting sick of Toronto!

Bauhaus was a product of its time, a magnet for new political ideas, new aesthetics in design, architecture and visual arts in general, a crossorad of great people (Kandisky, Gropius, Mies Van der Rohe). Don't think it will have the same impact it had in the past. But it still might be a very good design school.
Any info?

Danke!
I suppose this will have to do. (not that I'm complaining)
I was just hoping that someone on NT would share some experiences.

when i started at bauhaus university five years ago, it was pretty much family like. we were about 200 people. they had and still have good equipment and the staff was also quite good.
right now some of the best profs are gone and they sould take care to get some fresh people in the university.
but i think its still a good place to study design.

I wouldn't mind exchanging bud. :)
My creative juices have been stagnant for a while, since I've lived in this city for all my life.
The Bauhaus seems like a viable alternative, since I'm learning German, and I would assume (hopefully not wrongly) that there would be a lot of international students in the school.
Thanks for your input.

to be honest i dont know the about the situation with international students. i was away for half a year and then i started to work on my diploma. so im not very much involved in the university everydaylife anymore...
