Anyone read this book? Im reading it now and its fascinating. I love it. The english seems much more sophisticated than what we use now also. I wonder if they'll ever make a movie of it?

the hobbit is awesome, one of the first books i read in my childhood, in russian though.. read it in english awhile later, it's still one of my favourites, and reading LotR afterwards gives it that much more depth

there is a movie.. well a cartoon. its super old and like made in the 70s or something. i remember watching it as a kid.

Wonderful book! Totally expanded my imagination as a youngster. Gives me a big smile just thinking about it.

I think I will always feel happy thinking about this book also. I watched LOTR I and caught on to a few things I hadnt noticed before also.

Iv'e read the Hobbit and the LotR series about 15 times apiece and almost every time I read it I find something that I either overlooked the previous times or stands out more than others.

Has there been any rumor of a Hobbit movie? Also, how many pages would you estimate the triology books are? I'm guessing they are huge.
PS. Im just starting the last chapter of the hobbit now.
