hello E,
well, actually - i know Amsterdam very well but i don't live there.if you look here: http://www.kulsdom.com/windowvie… you can see that i live in Arnhem. but that is a nice city too.
and i think that the fire on the first picture is not burning anymore. it is not a new image...

btw: there is also no way that you can see Germany when you're in Amsterdam.
- E0
yes I thought it was a bit silly that you put that on the image, but I thought maybe with the whole EU thing going on. But your website says you are located in Amsterdam, so I thought I just ask. Also the houses are quite similar.
and yes arnhem is a good city.

and you are a real Amsterdammer, or import ?
- E0
Abcoude (near bijlmer) so almost, but ask an Amsterdammer and he will see me as import (though I live in the Jordaan). Though most real Amsterdammers are living in purmerend and Almere these days. You?
- E0
man that looks familiar, that's really close to where I live. I have seen the building but I can't place it. Which street is it?
I live on the goudsbloemstraat.
But the two pics are taken from different streets aren't they?
- stewart0
nono, pics are from the same street.
it is a few streets to the south from where you are.
next to the WesterChurch.can you show your window view?

I made the pic just now, so don't expect to much of it. I had to keep the cam steady with one hand holding the window and the other hand tha camera, while not trying to move because of the shuttertime :)
- stewart0
nice.
you work/live there?
- E0
I both live and work (study as well) in Amsterdam. Live in the jordaan and most of the time, because I do a lot of freelance work, I also work at home. Nice neighbourhood, but Amsterdam is boring. You?
- E0
yes it does, every half hour. It is near Anne Frank House.

well, Amsterdam can be exciting (if you are a tourist. and for all tourists: if you are walking on a red painted road in downtown Amsterdam and you hear a ringing sound behind you, you HAVE to jump to the right the same moment, because you're walking on the bike road)
i vote for Rotterdam. that city isn't floating on tourists.
mmmh, Rotterdam...

if i remember it correctly, the bells on that church are ringing EVERY FIFTEEN MINUTES!
