take a look at the tiny square buttons on this page. Any clue how it is done?

Works like this...
You have buttons for each "region", meaning what area the button will follow.
When you are in this region it will, probably via button, change a bit of action script that would be set up like this.
>attach an MC to the mouse
>make the little box follow that MC with a delay
>onRollout, stop following
>If another region is entered, switch which box is to follow the mouse MCAs for code specifics, I can post it if you need it. It's really just a mouse trailer with a delay effect and some activation for specific areas

The code is NOT pretty in the slightest, the whole thing is hard to customize and somewhat cumbersome.... but it works :>
