Upgrades can only be done from the previous 2 versions SO...if you don't get this one you can start again in 2005 or whenever the next one comes....

Stop coming out wth upgrades?
Don't tell me you want them to be like Quark and sit on their asses and stagnate for half a decade at a time. Progress is good. The upgrades aren't that much money.

i agree with the king!
they are in it just for the money. some of the upgrades are just rubbish (almost every freehand is....)
and i still with my flash 5 ;)
(and my photoshop 5.5, and my....)

i'm all for bashing money-hungry macromedia too, but the jump from 5 to mx is pretty significant.. a lot of new stuff you just can't do in 5.

if you don't use AS then there's no need to upgrade really....
BUT
if you do then you probably should as many commands are now being deprecated (taken out of the player) so older syntax may not work with newer players...

hey MX, can you explain to me the benefit of me upgrading to FreeHand MX from 9, when I'm using OS9.2 ona mac and now I cant even use MX because it runs as if I'm on an LCII, seriously its probably even slower.
Does anyone use freehand MX on 9.2?
