wow....
i have read some posts and i have to say that i have been around gay people my whole life and not once did i hear any of them say they want to be seperated from the rest of society.
this is discrimination to it's fullest and i would really like to know what a "child", because they are children that are not even 18 , is going to do when they decide they are straight and they find them selves hitting on the lesbian girls there?? will they have to be expelled from school?? if so then that will be a legal case. and why are we sperating youth due to sexual preference?
Nothing about this school makes any sense and i think that the Gay community should be outraged that this is taking place.
a teen at that age doesn't know what sex is , what their preference is, or what it means to be gay. most teens go by trend and this is also a huge mistake that they are not allowed to see WHO they are in a mixed setting. they could be gay one year and then the next they could be straight... i have seen so called gay teens turn back and forth more than i can count on my hand.
i think this limits thier exploration of self and gives them an extremely narrow perspective on life and it doesn't prepare then for COLLEGE , let alone for the real world work force!
peace to all ,

veraicon, I hope you aren't saying that all teens dont konw what sex is, and if they are gay or not, and what it is to be gay. Im a fourteen year old freshman in highschool and I can tell you right now, I know for a fact, no matter what you may think or say, that I am straight, and that I will never be gay. I think they only change their mind when they realize the big mistake they are making in their lives

hey Recoil2k2, what are you doing tonight?

Yes I dont believe segregation is the key to stopping homophobia. Schools are the place, like the home, where homophobia can be tackled, but here its being used to create a division. And hwat does happen when they go out into the real world. Life is about integration and we have to strive to make it that way.
Im interested, what do you think about the Gay Games. Personally I find it to be in a similar vein as this school. Discrimination hardly exists in the world of sport (Im not talking homophobia, but athletic ability is equal despite your sexual orientation). Why have a seperate sporting event? I dont think you can dismiss it as a 'bit of fun', its another case of voluntary segregataion that seems to be at odds with the push to end discrimination.

thats what she just said dude.

Not only is it NOT hereditary... it has not even been proven that it is hereditary... and it never will be!
Like i said before... Sodom and Gamorah... eat your heart out!

my dearest youth ( recoil2k2)....
you nor any 14-19 year old are going to tell me that you KNOW WHAT SEX IS. TEENS don't know what sex is, they know what fucking is. and HELl they don't even do that well. that is why we have enough probelms with teenage pregnancies and teaching you children about babies not doing the deed. i won't get into technicalites for what a 14 year is capable of in bed on this thread...
and sexual prefernce changes many many times during the coarse of a life time for SOME people.... I HAVE LIVED LONG ENOUGH TO SEE IT!
when you are a bit older you will see the world through much different eyes and you will see society, womena nd men differently as well and what we are.
i have grown up in the gay community... and i have seen adult gay men and women turn to straight people, MANY MANY MANY TIMES !
so i hardly doubt that a teen KNOW WHAT SEX IS and what it TRUELY menas to be gay at this point in thier life.
the very basis of this school is a walking contradiction in the gay community.
if saety is the issue in school then they should have better security in schools and teach tolerance.
they will be in for shock when they get to college.
peace to all,

Agreed, veri.
"Not only is it NOT hereditary... it has not even been proven that it is hereditary... and it never will be! "
wow...logic at its finest. You must've studied with Masters and Johnson, yars.

nothing to laugh about mrdobolina.
seriously i think this school will do more damage then it will good for these children still have sooo much growing up to do.like i said before, if security is the issue then they should be putting more money for secruity to be walking around school.
period.
i was jumped in high school by a black girl for being white and having a black boy take a liking to me and i to him. i was WAS KICKED IN THE HEAD by 10 pairs of boots and left on the floor by teachers and police. 300 poeple watched me get beaten....not one person could get by the the wall of kids watching.
i couldn't read for one year, i was in testing, i was in rehab, i had pain and swelling to my brain like you would not belive.
i still have some probelms.
Do i hate anyone for it??? YES, the school system and our government for spending money wher eit shouldn't be spent!
our children should have better security and teachers should have the right to break up a fight and not fear a lawsuit!!!!!this is where is all gets me. do you think for one minute that when these kids get out of school they will not have other vendictive kids lined up and following them home just to degrade the or harm them?
rather then teaching peace, and tolernace for all kinds of people we sperate them and don't fix the very problem. SECURITY AND OUR EDUCATON SYSTEM. teaching morals and ethics in school. teaching tolerance and trying to raise healthy children that have the means of getting to know who they are in a real world setting.
i think i have said enough.
i would want no one to fall victim of what i have. it exsists everywhere.
white kids beating up black children, black children beating up white children, straight kids beating up gay kids, and gay kids beating up straight kids.
the problem is where our money is going and if we as citizens of this USA are willing enough to take some action and speak out.
our eduacation lacks greatly in the US and what our children are a result of it. we have come further and further in the attempts to unify this very diverse counrty and make it work some how... this is only a regretion in our education and what it offers to these "gay" children and what it also is telling out "straight" children. our the straight children now supposed to tell all the gay kids of america to attend their own school in NYC because they are not wanted there?
instead of teaching unity, we get this....
sad sad sad.
peace,

monkeyshine... i see you like to talk shit about others to boost your own personal ego. What I said was true... what's your problem?
- mrdobolina0
sorry to hear about that thing in school. All I meant by it was that all of the gay people I know are very big into clubs and drugs.
- veraicon0
i know what you meant...and it is very true what you say.
i am just talking about were the root of the problem is...and it is in our education and what morals we are teaching all of our children.
from what is being shown on our TV and in media to the morals they bring from home and what is being taught at school.
seems that peace and love are no longer a motto and war and segregation seem to be taking over.
peace ,

vera, great points all throughout that last post, and I agree with them all, this school is doing more harm than good.
In my school, if you get in any type of fist fight, you get arrested. In middle school I fought all the time, since I got to highscool, I dont fight in school at all, I dont want to get arrested.
But then there is the fact that out of school it happens too. There is absolutly no way to stop this though. It cant be stopped. There will always be people who decide to kick the crap out of somebody else for whatever reason.
- veraicon0
i went to school in LA, in Colorado, Detriot...some of the poorest and most wealthy.
the difference from school to school IS LIKE BLACK AND WHITE!
some schools are strick and in others drugs and violence are everywhere.
there has to be something done about hte condition of our education system so that everyone feels safe and not only gay children.
peace,
