i wish i could beat that guy up, but he's just too damn sensitive that i' feel bad. Like beating up a puppy dog or something.

new album is great! give it a few listens!

that sack of tears hasnt written a new song in the past 4 years
- EveryNewDay0
Hey instantok, you have any songs of your own we can download?
I guess it's pretty cool to bag Dashboard nowadays, but geez he's been cranking out music for YEARS. I lived in Boca Raton, FL for school and have watched him progress from his first band, The Vacant Andys, to Further Seems Forever, to now Dashboard. The songs just flow out of him. Yes he's pretty, Yes he can sing, and Yes he gets the chicks.

He's the 2k version of Cheap Trick® ,but far more whiney.
Severe mediocrity.

EveryNewDay..
sheesh lighten up...i have seen dashboard 4 times...i still like the demo recordings and early ep stuff as well as the occasional further seems forever song
BUT
i have not heard a new song from him since the year 2000...he just re-records shit
- EveryNewDay0
instantok- i'm cool. that last post sounded more harsh than i meant, but yeah he re-records, i acknowledge that. But it's still good stuff.
sheesh, this is sounding like a 'tiger beat' fan posting forum. haha.
good music is good music.

girl i know from high school hit that shit
more than once.
He's a really nice guy, tho.
I can't say that I've heard the new one - but I've been a little confused as to why he keeps re-recording all of these songs all the time.
He shoulda stuck with FSF.
They sound awful now.

What do Further Seems Forever sound like now anyway? I loved that first cd but I haven't heard them since...
- jevad0
new cd is pretty bad - the moon is down was/is fantastic - I mean the new singer sounds very close and he's good - but the song quality just isn't there!

He makes me sick.
Time magazine wrote about him in an article about "emo" and literally cast him as if he created a whole new concept of music where you're singing about a relationship, an ex bf/gf, love lost.
I thought I was going to throw up.
No mention of Sunny Day, who, without getting into the whole argument of what emo is and isn't, are regarded as one of the greatest bands of the genre because Jeremy Enigk writes songs from a heart that Chris Carraba couldn't dream of having a fraction of.And of course he gets the girls...
There are too many insecure, wayward girls so heavily influenced by the media out there that they can't help but fawn over a pseudo-romantic always heartbroken musician who, as it's been said already, does nothing but write the same thing over and over.
