Is it just me, or is everyones (son / daughter) a friken webdesigner these days?
I mean its like you can have no talent and buy a new computer; download Frontpage. Get on www.brinkster.com and be a full fleged webdeisgner. What a wonderfull world.
Any thoughts on that?

Ya know, people said the same thing about graphic designers when "desktop publishing" (oy that term still makes me cringe) took hold.
In the end, talent prevails unless its a talentless business who only cares about spending as little as possible.

if you have just been trained as a web designer then that is all you are. if you have been trained as a graphic artist then you are a designer who does web design. am i right?

i try to avoid being labeled a "web designer" due to the 13 year old cousins with the same title. i am a graphic designer that works with web based media.
