yeah my coworker claims that the new G5 is the fastest most precious thing known to man? is it? get me the real story and not some jaded mac lover fantasy? anyone got any info on why my coworker is wrong? =)

computers are like vehicles... no matter what the performance specs are, you're always going to have your preferences as to what you like. get over it and use whatever you like to get the job done.

I already have a 2.5Ghz Dell Dimension with 1Gig Ram and 128Mb Geforce 4 video card but I have never owned a Mac and wanted to get the best Mac available.
I need a Mac for University and my placement next year anyway.
When I get it, I will probably be asking here how to use OSX stuff and some the new mac software I have never used before. ;-)

Gravity - Actually I have student loan and hours of hardwork. I wish I did have Daddy's money because that would mean he didn't die last year. :-(
