I think it's more Cure than heavy metal -- but shit that's just me!

I'm not really a Heavy Metal guy, so I can't really respond in terms of what would appeal to me as your specific target market. I would however say that there seems to be a lack in composition, my eye gives me this intense vertical stretch that doesn't appeal to me, partly due to the line spacing where you list the musicians.
Consider looking at:
The overall (flow of) composition.
The contrast of elements - what should be seen first, the band name, the musicians or the peripheral imagery?
When I look, I don't know where to look. Nice "feel" to it though. Hope that helps. :)

Thanks ave: I agree with your points, and remember kids don't design a mettler sitting with you.

...with a mettler sitting with you.

Sorry Triss didn't realise that was the case :)

Kinda wish I had a mettler sitting with me, had a room mate years ago, used to pound slayer into my ear all the time. Learned a whole lot about music from him. Still somehow, the terms "heavy" and "metal" don't fit into the world of music. Who knows? I sure don't!

Don't think you would be saying that if you were here, I've had two days of metal non-stop, the only break we’ve had is to watch rage... I'm starting to look like my cover...

That's why I'm not the target. :)

If its up to you, I'd go in a different direction typeface-wise. less ornamental and more direct. think different. otherwise - I like.
