Networking is business jargon mate, get used to it, it's what brings in the business. IE. Word o' Mouth. It's nice and good. Not that I use friendster much for business networking, more for get togethers and parties when I can't reach people on their cell. Sorry to make a rude assanine assumption, but you made it seem like you had no control, meanwhile you do. No hard feelings eh.

i didn't expect to use it for biz, but i did actaully get 2 clients from it a couple weeks back. Smaller clients, but they paid off a few bills.
As far as meeting people with it, i don't think it's terrible. It's a better premise than dating sites, etc.
In all, I think it's a damned good idea that can be used in a lot of ways.

- 4 dates (only 1 of which was initiated by me)
- 2 super old girlfriends from various US locations that I would have never known what ever happened to them (closure)
- 10+ reconnections to friends that I met over the years through other friends but had no contact informationSo, to answer your question of "friendster:super cool?"...
it's great for few, good for some, and useless for others.
hey, it's a free site (for now) so the only thing lost is time. if you're curious join, if not, don't.

Addicting.
Plus, I found this chick that I always talk to at parties but am too drunk to remember. She enjoys ghetto chinese food and movies. as well.
Too bad most of my friends on there are from school or home. Not many designheads.
