sorry for my ignorance...I doodle for a living..
I would like to make the videos on my website streaming so they load as they play.
Is quicktime the best for this? It seems the installation/setup for this (darwin?I have XP) is extensive...anyone have insight on this?
also I use flash so does flashmx have the ability to export movies as streaming video? ....I heard something about Flashcom...what is that?

you can use flas, i would recommend compressing the video with Squeeze, using the two pass vbr setting. Play around til you get the quality you like.
From my experience , using the quicktime player with Sorenson 3 usually produce a higher quality image. But you can't embed it into flash.
I don't think any of this is officially considered "streaming" though, though it can play as it loads.
