It is a very sweet place, and yes its a damn shame. Thirty years of blunt smoking, playing Hacki-Sacki, chillin, good music, alternative living, will probably be replaced by a shit load of mad expensive appartments, that noone can effort.

Jasus, the whole EU crap is going to take away each counties individuality. No smoking in pubs in Ireland as of Jan the 1st.
I've just given up, but jesus, an irish no smoking pub, just wont be the same. Im all for same currency, but all this EU regulation shite is ruining what europe is.

If you are lucky enough to find yourself on holiday in Amsterdam, without getting stoned out of your skull every single day you might scrape together enough motivation to get off your THC riddled arses, walk around and see what an amazingly beautiful and unique city Amsterdam really is.

See in Florida you can't smoke in restaurants, Because people are eating and working that don't smoke. But you can smoke in Clubs. I agree with any law that bans smoking in an area where people shop, eat or waork that do not smoke. Secoond hand smoke is fatal. Care to disagree with me anyone?
