well, the guy deposited a fake chack that came with his junk mail to the bank, the bank took a while to notice the check was not valid. the guy was by law entitled to the money ($95000 btw). the bank wanted the money back. he took the story to the nwe york times and all the show imaginable. he got a little 15 minutes fame. he felt guilty about keeping the money and gave it back. well what can you say. it's the first time i hear of someone that felt bad about taking money from abank....

thank you. So he went to the effort of cashing a fake check, but feels bad about getting the money. Was he hope to not get the money. Sounds odd to me.

well, he initially thought that the bank would not cash his check. but anyway, the thing is he had the chance to take completely legally $95000 from a bank, which obviously wouldn't miss it that much. and he gave it back...
i still don't get it. the moral of the story is what? don't accept money that nobody is going to miss and that according to the law belong to you?

should have given to to charity if hes that worried about it, that would have been nice, instead of giving it back to the wanks
- ar_ti0
obviously some people have a strange opinion about morality

Banks just don't have enough money, and they're way too ethical in the way they invest it. I'd give it back, with interest just to say 'thank you banks'.
- ar_ti0
yeah sure, why not.... do you know that the guy even paid the bank some 65 bucks more for interest? on his own... he felt it was right.
i think i would donate my house (if i owned one that is) to the bank in order to forgive me for the fuss

ya, and i love how the charge you for asking how much money you have your account, brilliant.

Overdraft charges, love 'em. You spend too much and go over your limit, so they charge you £25 which puts you even further over your limit, so then they can charge you some more.

I once went to change an english 20 note to some australian money, it converted to about $40 aus, they took $25 and gave me $15.
I love their math.

i was thinking about sonating some money to unicef or the red cross... nah! i'll give it to a bank... it;s needed more

damn, now i know the end...
gee..
what a gooooood boy.. give it back to the bank...
that's a great thing, since the bank would go 'bankrupt'(?!) and all the employees and their families would be out on the street..
as most banks can't afford to miss 95,000 these days, eh?
well, now i won't read the rest anymore.

sorry i spoiled the fun...
