the sun is coming up... it's 4:55am... in the distance you can see the base layers of the color of the day... God has the best motion graphics reel ever... how did he do that?

He's doing some sort of slow fade in with a lighter color... he's using the color of the highway and city lights at the bottom to make this sick gradiant from the horizon to the sky...

It's just the planet's rotation and your relative position to the sun. The rotation of the planet was set in motion during the formation of the solar system. There was no diety involved.
