You lot are such frikkin' music snobs. I'm gonna stick up for Blink - along with Weezer, they're my favourite band (I'm 25, not that it counts for anything).
I only recently started listening to GreenDay and yeah they're great too. Who gives a poop if it's three chords or *whatever* if you like the sound of it (and it's ok if ya don't :))?
And when do they say "Yeah hey everyone we ARE punk?". Why do bands have to be boxed into a genre - just enjoy what you enjoy :D

weezer is good but blink's music is whiny, if you like whiny music that's fine by me. Those guys are getting close to 30 and still singing about high school stuff.

When you refuse to listen to something simply because it has gone mainstream and is on the radio, that is a music snob. Also when you refuse to give something a chance because it is on the radio or MTV, that also makes you a music snob. Get over yourself and quit letting what is on the radio determine your taste in music. FORM YOUR OWN OPINIONS. If you truly don't like a band, so be it. If you liked them, and then dislike them because alot of other people started liking them, well that's just stupid. If any of this describes you then, you are a music snob that lets what others are doing determine your tastes and opinions.

i don't like blink182 too much myself... at least from what I've heard (which isn't much). I was mainly talking about people that started out liking something, and then abandoned it once it became popular.

i used to LOVE LOVE LOVE the aquabats. I remember seeing travis so many times whenthey played. but this was a long time ago. I must have been 13. what was i thinking? at least i didnt like Celine Dion or Miriah back then. I was also into homegrown back then *shutters*

is not a question of being snob.
is a question of minimum music knowledge. blinkblablabla... have no music skills, they cant compose any interesting tune. just easy chorus for boys that spent 7 hours a day in front of tv watching talk shows, ads, and (yes) mtv. and their chorus are more than easy....
and i think not everything on mtv is shit: david bowie, ben harper, blabla... they appear on mtv.

by the time a band hits mainstream anyways, their music is so watered down anyways( most of them). so by the time they hit mainstream they kind of suck. it's not a snob thing, it's a "the music sucks" thing. look at 311. music and grassroots were probably their best albums and the rest of it sucks.
