I cycle around London and have never had anyone shout at me.
I do find that when cycling you feel very righteous,
"I'm cycling, keeping fit saving the plant, not causing a traffic jam you inconsiderate mindless idiots stuck in your preposterous tin boxes."

i had some bad experience in seattle. Just yell "why dont step out and tell it to my face, bitch"
that usually shuts them up

I was in a car with 2 of my biggest (size wise) friends a couple of summers ago. This car full of teenagers flipped off the driver and so we chased them down. We ended up in a parking lot were about 15 of their 16 year old friends were hanging out. It was hilarious watching the driver who was probably about 300 lbs, and at this point furious, trying to figure out if he should get out and fight them all..... Good thing we just drove away.

hey unfit, I'm a lucky one - biking a lot in Amsterdam, haha!
the point here is: all Dutch bikers are getting respect in traffic. Even all bikes from the right are getting right of way here.
And this is for all NT-ers going as a TOURIST to Amsterdam:
the small red colored tracks on each side of the road are specially constructed for people riding bikes - DON'T WALK THERE!And if you walk there by accident and hear a strange ringing sound behind you, don't stop and look over your shoulder - but jump to the right as quick as you can.
thank you.

well here's a solution to your problem....invest in a pair of steel toe shoes...preferably with the steel on the outside,
Scuff the steel toe up enough that it'll scrape paint....and the next time somone gives you grief...just drag your foot along the side of his car as you go by
....sssccrraaaaaaappppeee...Or lean out a foot as you go by and take out a tail light!!!
Crunch!
very satisfying

You know what really pisses me off? When I'm driving through busy narrow streets with cars parked on either side and I've got a someone in my lane with a bike going 3mph.
Get on the freakin' sidewalk when there's no bike lane available. When everyone was kids no one minded when you rode your bike on the sidewalk.
What also pisses me off that most of them think they should ride in the street with traffic, yet many of them I've seen don't abide my the same rules like stopping at stop signs. Get a motorcycle or vespa. End rant :)

in downtown once, i was crossing the street, and so was this old lady, and i saw this cyclist coming, and she just ran right into the old lady. was kinda weird.

Aren't bikes worth 500 points if you hit them?

i personally hate that shit. here in the outskirts of raleigh people are always riding out in one lane roads in their little speedos and they hold up traffic.
it's frustrating as hell especially when there is a sidewalk right next to them that they refuse to acknowledge.
even more frustrating is when a whole group of 'em dress up in their funny little spandex outfits and penis helmets. i've seen up to 15-20 riding at a time.

Not everyone dresses up to go biking. I wear jeans and a loose tshirt. Very casual. There is no way in hell you would catch me in spandex. Unless a real sexy girl made me wear it around the house........naw fuck that.......
she can wear the spandex......
see through would be nice.

alot of those guys with the spandex arent very serious anyway. wearing a helmet going for a lesiuerely ride also is pretty lame. I mean if you are out on the open road pushing 40MPH, then maybe a helmet is warranted, but riding in the city, unless you are in manhattan or chicago is really overdoing it.

This one time in New Orleans, I saw this guy get hit on his ten-speed by a cab driver who didn’t yield. The guy flew onto the hood and it bent his bike all up. So the cabby gets out and is like: OH FUCK!! and takes out a $20 bill and says ‘here take it.’ I was like fuck that!! – Twenty dollars? I woulda been like 'How about you let me kick you in your nuts really hard?'
don't hit this guy, it might drive me bananas :(
