When you start working on designs as comps for clients that are web related, do you do vector based comps or bitmap based?
I use Illustrator for all of my comp work and only go into photoshop when production starts or if I really need to for a certain asset(s).
It would be interesting to know. I like the control I have in illustrator vs photoshop. I know you can manipulate both very well but I prefer illustrator.
Anyone?

I normally start throwing stuff around in freehand pasting in and out of ps and then when I'm happy I'll work it up properly in ps... I kind of flick between apps and paper during the thought process depending on what kind of layout I'm working on, just whatever works easiest for me, but the final comps are in ps.

I will draw certain things in Illustrator and move them into Photoshop. Every once in a while, I'll do a whole comp in Illustrator. I'm equally comfortable in both. In Photoshop, you have more power to create interesting backgrounds/textures, etc, but in Illustrator you can draw better and have resolution independence, which is priceless.
If I'm working in Flash, Illustrator is much more useful.
