thanks for the info.. looks like a great place!
i'm in need of an apt soon and am NOT wanting to be in the burbs... so this might work if they consider a designer an artist;-)
here's to hoping!

Nope this is a different place, sorry. Looks cool though.

I don't think you have anything to worry about:)

My fiances x-boyfriend lives there with his wife! Weird!! Nigel Parry. Whoa... I know where not to go :)

i think you might be thinking of another building right near musictech (the old science museum)... That building is being renovated as we speak.. someone bought the building and pretty much kicked all the artists out.. they're turning it in to a higher income residential condo place...
and yeah, i might be looking for a roommate soon depending on the place i end up living in... i basically run my biz out of my place (which lately has been a couch and a free wireless bar!)

i'm just curious, are people in the twin cities area able to carve out a living doing design or do you have to find other ways to make ends meet?
heck, anyone from anywhere can answer if they feel like it (spirit of NT)
- krts0
I seem to be able to.
I teach classes for half the week and the rest doing design work.
- krts0
sorry.

friday bump time from me as well!
anyone ever go to the aiga happy hours ever?
- krts0
Not I...
I used to be a member but they seem so out of touch now. I dunno maybe it's just me.
Where do they have them?
- jpea0
they used to be like every 2nd tuesday of the month at some bar near 5 corners..
i'm not a member anymore either... basically it seems like design firms and org's have folded in on themselves lately just to "protect" themselves from the economy.. not much networking going on it seems.
- krts0
Yeah, I agree. People are keeping to themselves nowadays...
Except on NT!
