What's post hardcore? Kind of complicated rock with melodies and angst?
How about Acid Reign, Nuclear Assault, Testament and early Anthrax, oh yeah.

yeah, like 'Coming Up' didn't have any good tunes on it did it?
I hate the way Suede has to be called 'The London Suede' in the US.
- dstlb0
I know, surely it should be 'The Worthing Suede'.
Where are you playing tonight Jevad? Downloaded a few tracks off the site last week, good stuff.
- unknown0
post hardcore would be happy mondays etc in my book

"The early '90s saw a whole new wave of kids becoming bored with hardcore and discovering the possibilities of indie rock. These kids where spurned on by groups like Fugazi and Slint, who combined an arty dissonance with an emotional and highly personal approach to lyrics. What emerged was a new sound, full of intricate, notey passages, syncopation, and thundering, emotive releases, rooted somewhat in the old hardcore sounds, but also drawing on noise rock and emo influences as well"

Cheers Nic but I've got something else on tonight, let us know when you're playing next though and I'll try and get along.
Wasn't post-hardcore Jungle? Or maybe Gabba?
- jevad0

nice touch with that flash stuff you sent thru btw!
- vespa0
i thought gabba was hardcore?
- vespa0
or was that happy hardcore?
- dstlb0
Gabba is post-hardcore nosebleed-techno. Popular in Holland I think, or at least that's what they used to say.
- unknown0
yes, Gabba is popular in Holland (thunderdrome comes from holland i think). but is very popular in japan as well.
- vespa0
does hiphop have a hardcore?
