Hey dancing is an art!! So this is appropriate forum for my query....
Does anyone know of any good schools in New York where I can learn how to salsa like a pro?
And not that cheesy ballroom salsa! I talking like club salsa and stuff. I appreciate any help.

La Belle Epoche is at 827 Broadway, between 12th and 13th. They have lessons there. I only went once on a date. Women love this stuff something serious, but god it is so awful. I wish I enjoyed it at all. It just gives me horrible flashbacks to elementary gym when they would make us square dance. I would hide in the bathroom.

you can start with the TONS of free classes that many clubs in the city give to promoste slow nights.
check here for stuff

usually the people that give classes in clubs also give private classes and are pretty good.

Hey what you wanna learn is Casino Style Salsa, is not the ballroom type of salsa, Casino style is way more fun and chicks dig it!
Hey make sure you know a couple of steps and most importantly that you have some rythm before taking to the dance floor or you will be in for disaster. good luck!

"...don't go to Jersey for clubs man...."
I'd like to correct that statement.
Don't go to Jersey for anything.

yes, please keep adding to the decades old snowballing myth that NJ is some sort of lair of toxicity, it might keep away more of the emigrating staten islanders who defy the laws of evolution and assorted Metrotrash who like to shit where they eat. for real, though, people cannot get it together with the driving thing in Zen NJ, it's almost like drivers meld with their SUVs and become Cyborgs.
