Here's my point of view:
I hope it would never merge. I kind of enjoy this whole polite, peaceful and tolerant thing we have over here in Canada. I dont wanna lose that.
I went to the DC during the iraq war, some redneck asshole put a "god bless america" sticker on my Quebec license plate. My friend got spitted on in Dallas cause he was talking in french in the streets.. That kind of shit would never happen here. I hope it never does.

You would be surprised what people from anywhere would be capable of after going what we went through on 9/11. Can you imagine what would happen if a bunch of Americans slammed planes into the biggest buildings in let's say...Saudi Arabia? Pakistan? killing thousands of Muslims? They would be slaughtering Americans/ Westerners in the streets. My Arab neighbors down the street are doing pretty damn well, nobody is fucking with them.
Spitting on a Frenchman is pretty tolerant i say. And come on, who doesn't want to spit on a Frenchman?

oh and one more thing:
Canada is far too left wing for the USA. Only the west coast (read Alberta) are conservatives and only they might be able to get along with the American government.
But if this ever DOES happen (you never know) I will either be:
a) move to quebec and vote YES on a reférendum
b) move to Cuba (its not illegal for us to buy stuff from there or even take a vacation there)
c) or just go take a piss of the lawn of the white house (which would then get me killed by a sniper)
