you think quebec is up to the challenge?
... everytime I goto Montreal - there's so much hatred American's.
do you really think that this is something canada really wants? to carry the label of 'american'?

nothin new...this idea has been thrown around for decades and i can assure you that we sure as hell wouldn't let it happen.

living very close to the canadian border, i think this would ruin my thoughts about canadians. i think canadians are very nice, respecful people with a wonderful attitude towards others.. of course, i've only been to winnipeg and west of there;-)
don't join america, you won't like it.

at most, i can possibly see one currency for all of n. america but you'll never see canada as another state or under US governing.

Canadian pennies work just fine here. I use them quite often, nobody seems to care/notice.

I just think it would be interesting work on either side without as many visa issues. many canadians want to work here. many americans want to work there. but canada has nothing to gain by becoming part of the united states. health benefits will go way down. and pretty much everything else, too.

shellie, that's only because USA accepts the lowest of the lows every year into the country and it gradually brings the system down? It's plain and simple to see. If we wanted to restrict immigration and be tight, then the total system would get much better, but that's USA for you and pretty much always has been since Day 1.

It's an easy target. Not saying it's right, but it all comes down to numbers...just as in the classroom there's always gonna be the nerd, the cool kid, the bully and the truant. Labels are easy to pin on something/someone.
Plus 'America' permentates(?) our culture to such an extent that it's impossible think otherwise...
...no one ever disses a french hamburger joint do they? Or complain about a dutch car company?

yep your right, thats not what I meant, that's all true, US Foreign Policy isn't so great, sure, but the point was to watch everyones' negative opinions towards it in any given thread you will find it. ;)
