texture help!

i'm trying to find the kind of texture found on http://www.oakley.com on the main text. it looks like a scratched photo or something like that. anybody help?

mmmhhh.... you can create that on your own. is really easy.

how would i go about that then?

just think a little bit.... for example (i have my own way). take a pciture, convert it into grayscale, burn the colours til you have pure black/white, no grey tones. then take that picture and put it into the photoshop file that contains the typography. then play with the layer efects, multiply... blabla....
the more time you spent on that the better effects youll get. easy.

hah, funnily enough, no. my brain isn't really working too well today. couldn't think how to do it. thanks for the help though. the only way i thought of doing it was to scratch up a photo, scan it in, select colour range, choose the white of the scratches, drag into new doc, voila. but i just wondered if someone had a quicker way.
