I'm really sorry to hear that-- it sounded like an ususual (too good to be true?) situation. Can you go out on your own doing design for the very same clients you were already doing the design for?

i told him it was irresponsible. they pulled me from a cozy agencie job to head up a design department and i've been pulling 50-60 hour weeks on an hourly wage tring to keep up with demand - but they were still eating money.
i upheald my end of the deal above and beyond. i didn't have any support, though.
i have two projects for them lined up - meeting tomorrow. promotional package and the biggie is their website redesign...
but the floor just dropped from under me. this is a TOTAL shock. i had no idea and even in hind sight there's no way i could have seen it coming.

i told him i was born when reagan got elected and got the conversation back on track...
i have never worked freelance in my life. never had to.
i did amass a huge portfolio in the 11 months i was there. so now i gotta sort that out.
it's always fucked to be part of somones half-baked plan. especially when you sacrifice so much. i'm just trully let-down. i couldn't imagine being so irresponsible with other peoples lively hoods.
but biniss is biniss i suppose.

wow Gorbie, i'm sorry. that totally sucks. it really sucks that you went in on this in good faith and they couldn't even keep you posted so that you could have been looking for something during your last days/weeks there.
how's the market in Sac? if there is anything i can do, lemme know. I know of a sports catalog based in Reno that always seems to need someone. I can do some investigative work if you want, but i'm sure you don't want to live in reno.
