Just wondering whether anyone here have had any experience with webhost2.com. I just switched about 2 months ago and their mailserver has been down since last Weds. I am able to receive email after 4 days but still unable to send.

I use them. I emailed them a couple days ago and they said they have been having problems. My stuff site wasn't really affected aside from a little weirdness, but a site I did for a band (lamottausa.com) was down a lot and acting stupid.
They claim to be back on track. Let me know what happens.

I have used them for about a year now, maybe more. I've had a few mail problems in the past few months, mostly that they have to reset the database and the only thing that really sucks is that I have to redo my address book. All the saved messages stay put.
They are pretty reliable, althought I'm still on their old plan and they offer a new one that's cheaper with more stuff.

my e-mail is fine this week. must be on a different server.
They're a good company, I don't use 1/4 of the resources they provide, but they seem to have just about anything you need and the online panel is pretty good.

wow! it is good to know that webhost has been driving other ppl bananas too. my email is fine now, but too often, as in once a month or something my website is down, email nowhere to be found...it's quite a headache.
the good thing about them is, when you send them an email with a question or whatever, they do get back to you!cc

Yeah, the customer support there is very good. Up until this past couple weeks, I have never had a problem with Webhost 2.

I'm still experiencing extreme problems. no propr site and no cPanel access. A change of servers they said..... Anyone still having problems too?

Last week, my e-mail wasn't working, my site was down, and when I sent a support e-mail to them, it was returned because that was broken.
They were not replying after 24 hours to help desk tickets.
I was pissed.
So I looked up WHOIS info and found a totally different contact e-mail, and someone wrote back very quickly, said that a server was hacked and the file system totally corrupted, was then being rebuilt and moved to a newer, faster server.
They said they had sent e-mails to everyone who was effected, but the thing is, my main contact e-mail with them is the e-mail with my site. I wrote from a yahoo account.
So...advice: Always keep your technical contact e-mails as something other than with your url you run.

I sent them numerous emails and like 5 or 6 support tickets and no reply for about 4 weeks!!! I was so pissed and threaten to sue them, and finally someone finally replied asking me whether I would like to be refunded! They never ever even attempted to help me solve any issues. What a Joke! I guess the old saying holds true- "You always get what you paid for..!"

Same problems here. My email still isn't right. I literally spammed all of their email addresses with complaints, left phone messages, support tickets and still no one has gotten back to me!
They've completely let me down. They were good with their email support until now. They certainly didn't email me about the service outages and I have an AOL account on file with them!
mg33, can you share that contact info that you got from the WHOis search? I wasn't able to find it. I def. need to get in contact with someone there
If they offer me my money back, should I take it and use it to switch to a more reliable host or just depend on them to never let this happen again.
check their reviews: http://www.comparewebhosts.com/R…

Ah finally, thanx for replying guys! I mailed them today to close down my account, so hopefully it'll be over soon. My site is totally screwed up, and I have no access anymore to my cPanel and e-mail. Wbehost2 is indeed Craphost2!
But hey....here's another ultra cheap and maybe as unreliable as webhost2: http://cheap-unlimitedhosting.co…
hmmm...hehehe!

nah, no more cheap hosts for me. I am starting an account with http://www.cihost.com. 24/hr tech support baby.

Give http://www.RSMHost.com a try. I have been with them for several months now and i have not had any problems and support is best i have experienced, and they have an excellent reseller package.
I am not sure how CIHost.com is now but about 2-3 years ago the had some major problems. they seem to have gotten in better shape lately though.
If you try RSMHost, tell 'em Jason Morrow sent ya'.
Thanks
