Quark 6 or Indesign 2

Quark is dumb but stable. The only reason why its industry standard is that it was the only available layout program at the time. The printers jumped on it and made it standard. And now its to hard for them to change cuz most of em' are still on os 9. Old printing guys are afraid of new tools that makes everything easier.
I really hate quark with a passion. I have to use it everyday and I hate it even more with time.
InDesign is better.

I've used Quark for more than ten years, and loving it, but I'm a much happier person since I switched to InDy.
Don't let anyone confuse you. InDesign is a much better piece of software, and it's the future.

Learning curve rocks on indy, but the art director at work swore at me when i mentioned it.

Use InDesign with set up with Quark keyboard shortcuts.
That way you learn both.
