Looks as sad as it reads.

hell yeah... design week sucks. that really is just a jobs listings and ad mag. the more i flick through grafik, the more inclined i am to read it. i guess it's just getting used to their new visual language.
i used to be really into magazine design, i feel it's going through a really bad patch. i try to keep my eye out for the independent mags hanging around london. you can see some really nice stuff going on. anyway, this thread is getting a bit tired! yawn, next. take it easy mr gradiate.

I've got a few gems, but I don't search as hard anymore.
Sleazenation was ace before it went all mainstream, shoreditch twat, pil was also v. cool. I always get the photographers gallery brochure (not really a proper mag, but a real sweet piece of work).
What about you guys? What are you into.

I really got into japanese mags for a while. I still like Relax and Studio Voice but I dont buy then so much (too expensive, not as good as they used to be).

Sorry... been at Wimbledon on Friday and Saturday hence no response... Speaking to one of the designers from Made Thought earlier last week, they had had a email slagging it (but the person involved is a common problem with both companies, seems to have some hang up about working at a marketing company), But on the other hand Wim Crouwel told them he was in favour.
But you can make your own conclusions. As with anything different (or a change in direction) you're bound to spark a reacton from people, the only thing I'd add is that this is what a magazine like this should prevoke anyway.
