long live or long life

that makes sense. bonsai trees live long.

Anyone got one?
I got a 15yr old one

i have a bunch of them ranging in age from seedlings to 15 years or so old. it's a relatively new hobby for me...about 4 years or so. i really enjoy it.

i think the literal meaning of bonsai (not bonzai) is 'plant in tray'
- Duane0
oh, yeah...you're right. amazing the difference a letter can make. oh well, it sounded good!

I just bought my Serissa about a year ago... Just wanted to see if I could keep that one alive before I invest in others :p

i know what you mean. it all depends on your climate and location of the trees. moving from house to house i've found out the hard way. another nice (and cheap) way to experiment is to buy trees or shrubs from the hardware store - look for cool root/branch structures. with a little trimming, wire and repotting you can turn a $15 tree into a $200 one. if it dies, it won't hurt as much. btw, none of my trees were very expensive.

Actually, mine wasn't that expensive either... I guess it all depends on who you buy them from...
- zento20
isnt it also used as something you yell when attacking?

Actual translation of Bonzai is:
Bon: tray or plate
Zai: Trim/cut

whoa... you got a bonzai too? I got lots at home... not that much la.. My dad always taught me to take care of the trees, it says bring luck.. (ok).

I once had about five Bonzai drinks, they got me wasted and I couldn't walk across the street on 2nd and 82nd. I fell on the Starbucks there. Hee, hee ;)
- JazX0
yeah, like I should have screamed out Bonzai, wouldn't of mattered no one would have looked at me twice.

i leaned all about bonsai and bonzai on the karate kid.
wax on wax off!
