how am i not that bright about stating something that has happened and that people i know are mad about....its one thing to have a creative or a client make you change things they didnt like however i dont think anyone is ever prepared to have to change everything because someone saw footage of the channel launch party on entertainment television and decided to sue

First off, no, they don't have to change it back to TNN. TNN never ran any of the Spike TV branded material on their channel. So, it stayed as TNN's current look, thus nothing to go "back" to.It sounds like you're crying about your friend. Who cares? If Spike TV never exists, then there's more money for Heavy if/when they come up with another concept for TNN.
I just wish it were still called The Nashville Network. those were the days...

this is my last post about this topic because all of you are really sounding like morons.. they are changing all of the new branding stuff back to TNN IE new station branding materialthat was made for spike TV as well as all the footage of celebrities saying watch spike TV now are being changed to watch TNN

i started this thread thinking people would agree that it was pretty fucked up thing to do on spike lees part and not having to explain myself and being called not that bright from all the yokels that come out of the wood work so good day... i think ill go outside now

No, actually it's a pretty fucked up thing (if that) to not try and see it from both perspectives.

haha...this J guy is funny...It just doesnt make sense why J would be mad...no matter what the reason for heavy having to change the branding its the nature of the biz, Ive had to change work for all kinds of silly reasons. But you just sound dumb complaining about this issue and Im having a goodtime here laughing at you. Just admit you hate Mr Lee.

I never thought of Spike Lee when i heard spike TV.. i immidiately thought of spikey hair, and all things spike... such as 80s spikes on clothing, hair, madonnas boobs...
if my name was Discovery Jones and iw as famous.... what good would that hold up in coart over the discovery channel...
spike is a word not a name... if spike lee wnats to sue.. then there should be tons of other people before him that should sue... take a look at this..

I think you guys are just mad because a african man won a lawsuit for a change. And Spike Lee being a loser by some of you so called "designers" is funny. You would think the art community would embrace Spike rather than throw stones. I guess you guys are upset at your own careers not being so great. Have any of you contributed anything to this world that would cause discussion by people beyond this design portal? something news worthy?

Just cause Mr Spike lee doesnt use cgi in his movies doesnt mean hes crap.
Please, do yourselves a favour and go see 25th hour. on of the best movies I've seen all year.The only reason why some of you seem to think that he is washed out and hasnt made any movies is cause the man doesnt conform to hollywood, therefore you wont be seeing any of his movie trailers before your beloved blockbuster movies.
I respect the man for making thought provocing movies and cause he couldnt be arsed with the hollywood hype.
