i just saw the new ones... didnt read all the posts.
good that youre working on typographical relationship. the way the letters work on #6 are good, but i dont like the placement of 'esign' i also think that you should put the entire company name next to or underneath it. it doesnt read as design, because the logo is more of a single graphical element than discernable letterforms.
id say keep working at that one

The first few may be a bit too like the FSD logo... http://www.fsd.it/
Maybe you could try something like this...
The last one shows the most promise, the others are a bit tDR.

Sorry, didn;'t mean the last one, meant the second last (without the word 'design') – No 9. Or even no 6 without 'esign'. I agree with previous posts too, you need the whole name included somewhere, 'design' with the logo mark has no real purpose. Plus I agree you should work in solid black first then add colour later.

Don't know what everyone have said, but I think the biggest problem here is the box..... you are "free for design" but you put all the design inside a box? doesn't give much idea of free.... also,be careful with yellow, not a very good color for logo in the way you are using it, cause yellow expands and you don't remind (or the one who seees your logo) form color position, anything...
I like the butterfly and the lines in 9 and 11...
Ther last 3 could look cool, but they are to trendy, and i'm sure you want something that willl last.

I'm agreeing a bit with Anetalaya.
The idea of "free form" is a little stiff and rigid now. Perhaps developing a system in which you can use variations on the logo. Module letters that can be arranged in multiple ways, given the application.
Also, remember that it should translate into one color and retain its integrity. Also consider that when it is scaled down, it has to retain all its integrity.
You're on a much better track, keep going.
