hej ! i'd like your opinions. i'm about to buy a new camrea. my old one a sony is fucked up and i'd like not to buy a sony again (even if i have 128 mb memory sticks) because their screens on the back are very fragile and fuck them, they won't get my money two times. I'd like to take a 4 millions pixels, maybe ixxus ... i don't know. looking for an advice.

I have the Canon Powershot G2 - and i love it, go for the G3 (or G2 for a less expensive alternative.)

Been very happy with my Canon S45. Agree with the above post on G2/G3s...awesome camera, only thing that sucks is that an attached lense will cover the viewfinder - meaning you need to use the screen. Check CNET/ZDNET for prices/reviews.

i've had the Olympus C50 Zoom for about 2 months now. 5million pixels. very happy with it. small enough to fit in my back jeans pocket.

haven't played with the save as TIFF function yet. been saving as JPEG for now. there are 4 quality settings. the highest one is not too bad even for print. it's not perfect but i've blown it up to 11x17 size and it printed rather well for a digital camera.

I definatly have to plug my new Minolta DiMAGE F300 here. 5.0 MegaPixels for under $500, uses SD memory cards. Excellent camera. I've been extremely happy with it.

I have the g2, and its basically the same camera,a little smaller, and, get this, its BLACK. Great, right, well if I could buy any digital non-professional camera right now it would def. be this one. Go for it. You will not be sorry.

grab an Olympus E20 used on Ebay...it's a workhorse...complete with a lens more hefty than most of these mentioned cameras!...
taken over 2500 pics..no problems.. it's a machine...digital SLR style! for a budget
