Cool thanks. What hotels/areas do you suggest to stay in in Memphis and Nashvile? Do you guys like Rock City? Looks pretty cool.

As cheesy as it is Rock City is pretty cool.. some amazing views there. Worth doing once for sure. Watch out for the gnomes tho.

ah..the thread that won't die...just returned from a weekend in Memphis...what a cool city. Sunset on the Mississippi...beautiful! Beautiful architecture. Gorged myself on BBQ..yum.
If I could just move the mighty Mississippi and all the great BBQ joints to Nashville, life would be perfect.

Nashville's not all bad though - there's some good eats & nightlife there as well...
Believe it or not, I remember going to some ragin' warehouse parties back in '90-91.
Of course that was a FEW years ago ... sniff.

Hey Twinlobe...no Nashville is cool too. I love living here but I do think Memphis has it all over Nashville in the food department. Also think that Memphis has done a better job with their downtown than Nashville.
BUT...Nashville's music scene kicks ass. Few outsiders realize what a great alternative music scene there is here.
