what makes a Genius ?

Saw a thread about IQ and it got me thinking.
what defines a genius? and what are the different types of genius?
Here is my 10 bobs worth.
Genuis type 1 - someone who is a a master within an existing field, genre or discipline. i.e. Mozart, Rembrandt.
Genuis type 2 - someone who invents or reshapes the future of a given field, genre or discipline. i.e. Einstein, Freud
Genuis type 3 - someone who by force of personality changes the way people think about the world we live in. Gandhi, J.F Kennedy, Joan of Ark
I can just about place every genius I know into these 3 catagories. What about you?

i think it was thomas edison who said genius is 99% perspiration 1% inspiration, which i quite like. and i think applies to design quite well.

i think the question of someone being a genius is subjective. whether i can tell you, after examining the relationship between teds tallness over john and sams over kip, and all of them being brothers and living in a purple house, what age each of them are, i think has little to no bearing on my intellectual quotient.

Its precisely my point, genius has no direct relationship to IQ.
Genius is far more subjective, we tend to use the word rather losely these days, pulling the reigns and asking NTers if there was any kind of agreed criteria to being a Genius. Im reading a book at the moment on the geniuses of our time, I am feeling humble.
