disk warriors in your town will fix it. for some £.
after that all your data is rescovered, use carbon copy cloner or a cheap firewire HD and make a daily backup

Sorry to hear about your HD problems, I too have suffered the same problem. But i did manage to rescue my work by buying Norton Utilities v.7.0 for OS 9.2 and OSX. This app rocks! well worth the £80 bucks and taught me athe lesson to backup!!!

there are also certain companies that specialize in recovering HD data...they usually cost a crap-load, but if you can find one around, it may be worth it.
