i had once been to Maranello/Modena in Italy.. home to the famous brand: Ferrari..
and you know what?
we found a baker called Ferrari, a doctor called Ferrari, a construction company called Ferrari, etc.etc.
turned out it was a very common family name in that particular region.. hahaha..

DuPonti'm a sucker for acronyms . . . also, it seems to me that we associate the brand name with how we feel about their product(s) . . for example, if i say 'microsoft' or 'wal-mart' it's hard to say objectively, 'those are good names for a company'.
i find that companies with two names sound nice and for some reason 'professional'.
ex:
Harmon/Kardon
Herman/Miller

I work for a company that makes athletic wear. Anyway, one of customers is called Run For Your Life. What the fuck is with that? The phrase 'run for your life' doesn't fill me with the joys of exercise, it just makes me think they're sadistic fucks who prey on their customers.
