I'm about to put jaguar on my jade imac 450 mhz with 384 megs. I'm still rocking os9.2. Is this a really bad idea?
I just got a new ipod and want to utilize the calendar and notes and what not.

it'll be slower. it'll work however.
I was rocking jag on a g4/400 awhile back at work and it works fine for me outside of flash and photoshop. it's a bit too slow on cpu intensive apps.

Do you know if there is a way to keep the items on my desktop in os9 in jaguar. Also I heard that switching operating systems back and forth really shreds your computer. Are these rumors founded in fact or fiction? Any ideas.

I had Jaguar on my blue G3 450. It was slow, buggy and almost made me switch to PCs after 11 years with Macs. I wouldn't do it unless I had some kind of G4.
