I've never heard about an " Art Scene" in Nashvile. Who are the prevailent Nashville Artists? What are the artist communities like in Nashville?

Monkeyshine, I think that the guys on that song were actullay giving respect to Johnny Cash. But I may be wrong.

Treehorn, I've been here almost a year so not entirely in the know but there are galleries like the Tag Art Gallery, the Refugee, and the Zeitgeist Gallery that are doing alot to raise the bar. I've met quite a few artists who have moved here from NYC or LA, etc...still committed to doing cool work. Lawson Little is a well-known photographer here who is about to put out a book.

Ah...there's also a pretty cool collective called Untitled which has is a big unjuried group show a few times a year (one night only). I was skeptical when I first went to a show but I saw some really great work of over 100 artists. I love Nashville!
