flash + masks

  is it possible for a multi-layered movieclip and everything animated in it to mask another layer elsewhere in a movie? or is the masking movieclip only allowed to consist of only one layer?

  i'm trying to do it but it it seems to only mask the stuff using the bottom-most layer of the movieclip that's supposed to be doing the masking.

  if you have your masking animations inside a mc

  then put the mc on the main timeline onto the masking layer, it should work the way you want it to.

  Unless you are using dynamic text which wont show up in a mask anyways.

  flashing is always best done with a mask... less chance of being picked from a lineup.
