Just tested my site for the first time on Netscape. My text which is all CSS looks like crap. Big nasty Times New Roman, colors are not cascading correctly. Whats up with Netscape, i thought they were getting their shit together.

what version?

In my experience, Netscape renders CSS font size one size less than IE.
So I use two CSS files and increase the font sizes for Netscape by one...

you have to watch what you apply your classes to or it wont even work.

you have to watch the way you write your css code also, dreamweavers code needs to be reformated to get it to work in netscape.
Download newstoday's css file for an example of good well written css.
I had the smae problem on my site, and looking at NT's css helped

try this:
td {font-family: arial, helvetica sans-serif; font-size:10px;}
NS 4.x likes you to tell it how test will look in a table...
if that works, try declaring all your styles with "td." on the front

I will try tham monNom, I will lso take a look at NT.

What about putting Spans around text or putting a class in an A HREF?

Does it matter if I use an include file rather than an @ import?
- sexypixel0
use a linkewd file, much easier to edit, seriously man, just copyu and paste what you need from the NT css style sheet and change what you need.
http://www.newstoday.com/docs/ne…sorry in advance NT, but your css is damn nice

why do people use 3 numbers for the hexidecimal number #333333 "#333" is that valid. whats the point behind that?
- RocaBaby0
Im so confused...
- sp0
It is just short hand. It doesn't matter which you use, both are valid.
As is:
rgb(255,255,255);
:)
