Will the software update for the pc ipod to usb work on the older ipods?? Or just the new ones?
- err0
USB 2 will need to take up two usb2 ports to work. USB2 doesn't have enough juice to charge the iPod.
Also does anyone know how this 10 burn max works? is the variable of how many times you burned it saved on iTunes (can I open up toast and burn 100 copies or better yet can I take that same copy and pop it in a CD duplicator)?
Also what are the old 10gb iPods selling for? Since the new 10gb dropped to $299?

I cant believe people are not willing to pay .99cents for a song... unreal... and yet you'll pay 2.70 for a coffee at starbucks, 1.25 for bottled water, 40 bucks a month just to type links on message boards and look at porn...etc-
You dont think musicians deserve a freakin dollar (not even because the industry takes a bit and Apple probably does too)!! But yet most supposed "designers" wont make a cheesy web template or banner ad for less than 25 bucks an hour. Cheap bastards!!

yeah 99 cents for a song is too much. period. especially when it's available for free from lime wire.
plus you know that shit will creep up to $2 once they properly form a cartel. etc...
fuck the music industry. i hope they starve to death.

yeah I'm going to send my 99 cents on a pack of lifesavers or a bic lighter instead!!!
I hope anyone with point of view starves... sure its free on limewire- and when someone stelas your art work its free too!

err, you're right, USB 2 doesn't have enough juice to charge the iPod... but apple knew that too and took care of it.
the iPod has an additional cable available for those that want to use the USB 2 functionality available for $20. the cable connects to the iPod (or the new dock) and then has two cables - one USB 2 (to connect to your computer) and one firewire (to connect to the iPod's power adapter that plugs into an outlet).
here's a picture:
here's the site where you can order it:

radiosilent, do you understand how the point system works in the music industry?
the artists are lucky to see 10 cents.

i just ordered my 30gb iPod for $440 with free overnight shipping! Warehouse.com is awesome! Dave (my account manager at warehouse.com) says he can't do quite as well for everyone else (he did me a favor), but he says he can offer discounts off list price (probably at least $15 off + no taxes). He also is adding a free altec 2 speaker system to the package (not available on the web site) - not just for me, but for everyone. anyway, if you want a new iPod (windows [with usb2] and mac versions are now the same unit), give him a call and see how much he can help you out - 800.622.6222 (ext. 61720)... tell him ryan sent you.
