this is unfinished but I could use some feedback on the design...
thankyou muchly :)

btw, you need to scroll horizontally for the full page - but that's not obvious - something I need to fix...

Very very nice , i like this style alot , i like the fact that the background is fixed and doesnt scroll when you move to the right.
I dont really like the color Teal usualy but this is cool.
How much time did it take to create all this ? just curious ?

nice as ever stylejunkie. Love the way the background stays put!
Will he be able to update the news section himself? You've got a good style going on

cheers mate.
it took about 2 weeks so far - just evenings after work and weekends.
it needs loads more work but i'm sick of the sight of it - you know the way!

yup, great style and it fits perfect for a music site....
the only thing i can think of is that i dont know how many people with find the UP and Down buttons for the News.... they kind of are faded away with everything going on... so i dont know if people with ever scroll much... might want to put those right above the news or something....
thats all... nice site

great! and i do dig the colors! different!
one thing: the pixelstretch does not seem to fit in the whole style imnsho...

Nice, but I'd get rid of the oblique lines.
- unknown0
good points thanks.
oeuf - do you mean the blue oblique lines above the news section? or the ones in the wallpaper background?

Nice site you've got there.
I'll gladly add it to the Retrolounge's "Retro Look" section when it is finished. :)
Or you can submit it to me then at http://www.bitlounge.net/retrolo… (just in case you don't know the link).
Good work.

very nice stylejunky! the only comment i have is that i would prefer smaller sans serif html text instead of what you have. either way though, it looks good.
- unknown0
first time i've used a serif font for html text. i think it kinda suits the design more than sans serif, but maybe times would look better than the current courier / monospace font
one thing that really bugs me is the lack of motion / interactivity - i really wish i knew flash :(

Freakin nice! Don't change a thing. It's melancholic, it's got personality. Does Les like it? I think it looks pretty brave. People usualy like the plain jane stuff better. I envy you! The fade-away portion at the end is really cool. I love the whole montage thing. Great sensibility.
I only have a suggestion: the horizontal scroll is hard to see cause it's far from the whole center of interest section. Maybe put the whole frame at the bottom with the negative space thing on top?
- Redmond0
Is your own site private access only? I get an errorpage saying I don't have enough street cred to access it.
- unknown0
working on my own site at the moment too.
must remember to eat and sleep also ;)
cheers for the comments - there's nothin like positive feedback to make you want to do more!

Mort, love the site. Everything seems to flow along very nicely.
I didn't notice the horizontal scroll bar at first until I read your second post. A lot of people had the same problem with my site Closure since it had a horizontal scroll. I guess we are too programmed to look for a vertical scroll bar.
Love your work. Can't wait to see what you do with your own site.

thanks Saf.
dunno what to do about the horizontal scroll - tis bugging me now. i'd love a navigation that "smooth scrolls" everything horizontally (with that inertia feel)
but no fricken clue how to do it :/
- ********0
nice!...you may want introduce some more colors as the site scrolls.
i want it to scroll longer too.
- unknown0
i think I'll redo this in flash for a more smooth feeling interface
all i have to do is learn flash

Marvelous, lovely and bloody brilliant 'ol chap.

you could also use a javascript scroll and turn off the scrollbars in your html.
