i have been listening to the faint for a while now and interpol as of late. two good bands.
tfsmad, i am not trying to live through the 80's again, but rather just digging some of the tunes and artists of the decade.
scarabin, why the hate bro? no need for name calling.
the michael j thing, i dont know? i just like alot of his songs in that time. i think he is a *bit* goofy, but his music was rockin.

a BIT goofy??
Is anything creepier than that freak?I'd be more comfortable going to Mr. Rogers if he were a proctologist.

Know what ya mean foggle.
I'm 23 and have just being going through an 80's renaissance. After I saw the movie Donnie Darko I got the soundtrack only to realise that all the killer 80's tunes were not on it (insufficient budget I think) so I got them anyway.
Tears for Fears
Duran Duran
Echo and the Bunneymenother tunes I have got:
Michael Jackson
The Clash (their 80's stuff, I think?)
and just ripped the Wedding Singer soundtrack yesterday.

Interpol are quite good - sorta like Joy Division (in some ways)
Michael Jackson was good - when he black - way back :)
