I gave notice on Wednesday. You'll be fine. I do know how you feel though. I felt like I was having break-up conversations all day with my coworkers. Still have a month before I move, but I relate.

... it's only been 45 mins since I did it... and he's still gone.
... i don't know why I'm scared... I'm giving plenty of notice... and plenty of time to get this new designer up to speed etc....

relax. i took my boss out for a pint after work on tuesday and told him. his fiance was there too and we had great conversation and they were both excited for me, but hard to know i'm leaving. we're pretty tight, so it was hard.
told my director and gave my letter the next day. he was excited for me too, but it's still hard because i do a lot nobody knows about. but at least it secures me contract work from the west coast!
things were really encouraging here. now i just need to find a place to live - oh, and a job!

where are you working next? do you already have a new job?
my reason was that i was moving, so it was absolutely no kick on my people here. they're throwing parties for me once a week. plus i'm finding all sorts of cool things and ways that i have impacted people here. very encouraging. i can only hope i get to work with cool people at my next place.
