Hi
i created an html email for a client and referenced all the images and the stylesheet externally http://...
It works fine in email clients but when sent to hotmail the stylesheet is not picked up, im sure it's because hotmail's styles over mine. Does anybody know what i should do to pull the styles in???
Any help is much appreciated

I haven't done much with html emails, but i imaginge that using an external stylesheet could cause problems

I havent done many HTML emails either.
why not embed the style in the document?

Yeh you gotta use <font style:font-size=12px, etc. instead of inserting <style tags.
Its the safest way to ensure all email clients will read it also.

damn tags didn't work.
Anyway you have to insert the style tag inside the font tag for each.

you will have to source your images from your server I believe, maybe that's obvious... :)

yeah everythingis being pulled in externally including the style sheet but i guess i will have to put the style tags on each font tag maybe that will work
thanks for the suggestions

I know it's tough to do it with Flash as most E-mail clients block it or something....?

thought it was more complex than just setting up a few images on a server to send html formatted emails...this is not true?

ive made them before it's not that difficult you just cant use nested tables and you have make all the image refs absolute. i have an applescript that takes care of sending it you just specify the html file and hit send.
i just wasnt sure about the hotmail style sheet issues

CSS seem to only really work on Outlook and Outlook Express (I don't know about Eudora).
In fact, certain HTML attributes don't work. Like setting the background color in the tag. I don't have access to hotmail but in yahoo mail it doesn't work. You just got to work around it.
